| | In recent days and months, the world has gone topsy-turvy. From the heart-wrenching massacre in Mumbai to the ongoing sunami of financial devastation to historic changes in the White House, unprecedented upheaval and change are sweeping the world. And everyone is looking for answers. Wake up to the truth about the world around you – and within you – at an eye-opening Shabbat Chanukah weekend for SINGLES and COUPLES, “Finding What You Haven't Lost," Dec. 26-28 in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, NY, with acclaimed author and lecturer, Rabbi Manis Friedman, and internationally respected speaker and spiritual counselor, Chana Rachel Schusterman. Join them for a compelling weekend of powerful lectures and discussions that tap the energy of Chanukah and transforming darkness into light, to uncover what is true and unshakeable in today’s tumultuous world. You’ll also experience world-renowned Shabbat hospitality, delicious food, stimulating conversation and a spirited atmosphere, plus an opportunity to meet and network with Jews from all over the country. The weekend also features a Saturday night melave malka featuring an elegant buffet dinner, a performance by a group many are calling the “most awesome Jewish Jam Band” – a trio of some of NYC’s finest musicians playing a unique blend of Klezmer, Hasidic and Jazz, plus Rabbi Manis Friedman on “The REAL Secret”. Sunday includes a delicious Sunday brunch and both Rabbi Friedman and Mrs. Schusterman speaking on soul mates, marriage and Jewish identity. On-site matchmaking assistance is available for singles all weekend. Home hospitality and meals included (private accommodations are available at additional charge). About Steven
A native of Long Beach, California, Steven Alevy lives today on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. He credits his parents Allen and Deanna, with instilling his deep Ahavath Israel and responsibility to his fellow man. Steven and & his family founded the Alevy Foundation in CA. They are involved in helping support a number of organizations that contribute to the building and strengthening of the Jewish community.
Steven believes strongly in the Jewish Matchmaking concept and realizes that a matchmaker can not only introduce Jewish singles to each other but also help during the dating process. Steven and the Alevy family have now sponsored numerous SawYouAtSinai Jewish Singles events and Jewish singles weekends. These Jewish Singles Events have been incredibly successful and have drawn hundreds of Jewish Singles from all over the world to each event (including Jewish singles from Israel, Toronto, Montreal, Canada, Los Angeles, Florida, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Baltimore, New York, New Jersey, London, England). We are grateful for all he has done for SawYouAtSinai and Klal Yisrael. He is Managing Director of Bankers Capital Realty Advisors which is located in Manhattan.
